The annual pageant of giant balloons, floats, cheerleaders, clowns, marching bands, Broadway performances and celebs is one of the best NYC events in November.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade usually starts at 77th St and Central Park West and heads down to 34th Street to Macy’s Herald Square.

The parade kicks off promptly at 9am and ends at noon.

What’s the route of the parade?

There are 2.5 miles of public viewing along the route this year. It kicks off at West 77th Street & Central Park West and flows down Central Park West before winding around Columbus Circle and onto Central Park South and Sixth Avenue. It files down Sixth Avenue to Macy’s Herald Square.

How to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade:

Who is performing during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade?

There will be Broadway performances, live pop performances, marching bands and more.

Two of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musicals, Moulin Rouge! The Musical and SIX will perform on the “The Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS” starting at 9am EST on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.

So far, joining the parade will be Paula Abdul; Big Time Rush; Cam; Jordan Davis; Blue’s Clues & You! host Josh Dela Cruz; Gloria, Sasha and Emily Estefan; Jimmy Fallon & The Roots; Fitz and the Tantrums; Kirk Franklin; Mario Lopez and family; Ziggy Marley; Miss America 2022 Emma Broyles; the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street; Sean Paul; the cast of Peacock’s Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin (Adam Devine, Sarah Hyland and Flula Borg); Joss Stone; Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue; Jordin Sparks; Dionne Warwick; Betty Who; and Santa Claus. Additional talent will be announced.

There will also be performances Ballet Hispánico, Big Apple Circus, Boss Kids, the Fusion Winter Guard, the Kilgore Rangerettes, Phantom Limb, The Sigma Gamma Rho Centennial Steppers, the St. John’s Dance Team, and Spirit of America Cheer and Spirit of America Dance Stars.
