Johnny Depp sells off Art Deco penthouse in LA for $3M
Back in September, Johnny Depp listed an enviable collection of five penthouse apartments in downtown Los Angeles’ Eastern Columbia Building, a swanky, turquoise Art Deco building.
Now, less than two months later, the second of the bunch has just been snapped up.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the two-story corner unit sold for just a pinch under $3.1 million. The 2,400-square-foot spread comes with dark hardwood floors, dramatic light fixtures, high ceilings, a rooftop garden and an enclosed terrace.
The snazzy building itself has amenities including a deck with a pool, a spa and a fitness studio.
The first of Depp’s pads sold in October for $2.5 million, so now there are just three remaining: The largest, at about 2,400 square feet, is priced at $2.6 million. A 2,266-square-foot unit is asking $2.7 million, and the smallest unit, at about 1,780 square feet, is listed at $1.9 million.
Depp has been purging a whole host of assets recently. First, the movie star listed an entire French village for a cool $55 million, then he shed a number of his Basquiat paintings.
