Grilled Chorizo Kebabs with Cherries and Figs Recipe

Smoky, savory chorizo sausage contrasts deliciously with sweet summer fruit. Grilling them together unites the ingredients with a seared taste that is perfect for summer entertaining. If cherries or figs are not in season, try apples, apricots or pineapples.

Ingredients

  •  12oz cooking chorizo, cut into half inch circles
  •  1/2pound of cherries, pitted
  •  1/2pound fresh figs
  •  1large red onion, cut into 1 inch squares
  •  Olive oil
  •  Skewers

Preparation

STEP 1

Skewer the ingredients together, alternating between chorizo, fruit and onion. Drizzle with olive oil.

STEP 2

Cook over medium high heat on the grill for about ten minutes, rotating the skewers periodically. Serve with good bread and white wine.
