The illustrator and caricaturist Maria Picassó i Piquer is in charge of the Carnival poster where the majestic Neptune appears and becomes the god of Carnival with his float led by two funny sea horses, accompanied by a family of purebred fish.
How is the carnival of Madrid
The great festival of wit and humor appropriates the streets and squares of the city of Madrid for a few days .
From Carnival Friday to Ash Wednesday, the capital surrenders year after year to the identity game party, with parties, parades and other activities .
In addition, many districts celebrate their own Carnival.

Proclamation Carnival Madrid
The Madrid Carnival always begins with the proclamation that is given by a character from Madrid’s social and cultural life.
It has not yet been confirmed who will be the protagonist or where it will take place, but as soon as we know, we will let you know.
Masquerade
On February 18, the masked ball awaits you at the Círculo de Bellas Artes .
Samantha Hudson will be the announcer of this party.
As usual, the Círculo de Bellas Artes will close the entire building from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. , to host this event, which has a ticket price of €40 (€34 if purchased in advance).
Madrid Carnival Parade
The proclamation is followed by the thematic Carnival parade in which all its participants are dressed up in the theme that has been chosen that year.
It will take place on February 18 in the areas of Madrid Río and Matadero Madrid.
The Great Parade of the Earthly Comrades is an event with live music, in which the costumes will parade.
