Sorolla Madrid 2023 Exhibition: news, schedule and tickets
The new exhibition Sorolla through light will take place from February 17 to June 30, 2023 in the Genoa halls of the Royal Palace of Madrid .
Sorolla exhibition through light
It is an immersive exhibition where unpublished works by the Valencian painter are compiled and will be projected.
Original works by the painter, many of them from private collections, will be combined with digital recreations that will bring us closer to the life and work of the artist in a virtual and sensory reality experience through light, color and movement, which will mean a trip to the time of Sorolla.
It is organized by National Heritage, the Sorolla Museum Foundation and the company Light Art Exhibitions.
The project is part of the program of activities to commemorate the centenary of the painter’s death (1863-1923), declared an Event of Exceptional Public Interest (AEIP) by the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
The curatorship is in charge of Consuelo Luca de Tena, former director of the Sorolla Museum, and Blanca Pons Sorolla, the painter’s great-granddaughter and specialist in his work. The Karmachina studio will be responsible for the direction and production of multimedia content under the supervision of Gianfranco Iannuzzi, a pioneer in the realization of immersive experiences, whose works are currently present internationally from New York to Tokyo.
