Tutankhamun Exhibition Madrid 2022: News
How is the exhibition?
The immersive exhibition of Tutankhamun will make you travel hand in hand with the Child Pharaoh to the history of an absolutely magical civilization, from which we have inherited countless cultural elements and which, despite everything, continues to captivate us with the enigmas that cover the sands of its deserts and are diluted in the waters of the mighty Nile River.
Its geography, the creation of myths, the pyramids and temples full of incredible colors or the exciting journey through the underworld of the deceased incarnated in the solar disk through the twelve hours of the night, are some of the secrets that will make sense when visit this exhibition.
The exhibition draws on the historical archives of the National Geographic Society to take attendees to the lands where King Tut, the boy pharaoh , ruled Egypt as a mere infant more than 3,000 years ago.
To do this, visitors are immersed in a combination of cinematographic narrative and images hand in hand with the mapping of a state-of-the-art projection.
But that’s not all because the Tutankhamun: Enter the Tomb virtual reality experience , created by immersive cinematic storytelling company CityLights, is also included. Thus, with these galleries, lovers of history and ancient Egypt can observe what its geography was like, see its religious rituals, tour the pyramids, contemplate the colors of its temples and enter the underworld of the deceased incarnated in the solar disk through twelve o’clock at night.
The immersive show is completed with a description of Tutankhamun ‘s own journey into the underworld from the paintings that appear in the burial chamber of his tomb in the Valley of the Kings in Luxor .
The exhibition lasts 90 minutes. Still, you can stay on the premises as long as you want.
