In South Florida, Two Penthouses With Rooftop Pools For $35 Million

TOC-2-300x168Two penthouses north of Miami, each with its own rooftop pool, will soon hit the market  for $35 million apiece. The luxury condo tower they will cap has not yet broken ground, and is scheduled for completion in early 2018. But the marketing is beginning.

The penthouses will top the new Turnberry Ocean Club, a 154-unit new waterfront luxury condominium tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla., north of Miami Beach. Each contains six bedrooms, 9.5 baths, three kitchens, a wine room, and a master suite with a gym. The three-story penthouses have 20-foot ceilings and wrap-around balconies. In addition to the main kitchen, each penthouse has a summer kitchen by the rooftop pool as well as a party room with its own full kitchen. The interiors encompass 10,750 square feet, the outdoor space an additional 8,410 square feet.

“Each of the two penthouses has a private, in-home glass elevator that connects to three levels,” says Robert Swedroe, the architect of record for the project. The pneumatic tube elevators zip passengers skyward much like pneumatic deposit tubes whisk checks into a bank. “There’s only one door,” Swedroe said. “You walk in, push the button, and woosh, you’re there.”

Designed by star architect Carlos Zapata, with Swedroe’s firm doing the lion’s share of the drawings, the Turnberry Ocean Club’s marquee feature is its three-story “Sky Deck” on the 30th through 32nd floors. It has two cantilevered pools, a pet care area, indoor and outdoor fitness areas, yoga and pilates studios, a blow dry bar and nail salon, and an outdoor movie theater.

The condo tower’s lobby level features an infinity pool with poolside service and private cabanas, as well as an indoor theater and a kids’ room. Residents will also have access to the Turnberry Isle Resort and Country Club about five minutes away by car in Aventura, which has golf courses, a marina, racquetball courts, and fine dining. The developer is Jeffrey Soffer, CEO of Turnberry Associates.
