The historic Embassy of Madrid tea room is closing on March 31

Opened since 1931 the place was a survivor until this month.

If you are living in Madrid or you are planning to visit the city, we strongly recommend you to visit this historic tea Room. Opened since 1931 The Embassy has been a survivor of the World War II, Francoism and different ideological governments. The Embassy is a place where there are people without mobiles phones and reading newspapers.

But, what is Embassy? Eating a Spanish sandwich is much prettier than eating a sandwich. This is correct, it’s not a synonym. The Spanish sandwich has a fine bread and filled – for example with chicken and cucumber – that mix reach that subtle balance when it melts in your mouth. They prepare the best Sunday Bloody Maries, Croquettes and the tartar filet!

Embassy is located at “Paseo de Castellana, 12” avenue, the only place where you could still eat Spanish sandwiches in Madrid, and sadly will close at the end of March.
